Gans to host Angie Coiro show tonight
My friend, progressive talk radio host Angie Coiro, is out of town for a week, so I get to fill in for her tonight, 6-8pm pacific on San Francisco’s Green 960 AM. You can listen online and join the live-blog chat here.
I’ll be talking with one of the creators of The Story of Stuff, a persuasive and engaging online flick about the dangers of excessive consumer consumption, and Mark Dowie, whose new book is titled Conservation Refugees: The Hundred-Year Conflict Between Global Conservation and Native Peoples.
BK3 + Tara Nevins!

Tara Nevins [of Donna the Buffalo] will be a special guest performing with BK3 on upcoming dates.
BK3 is Bill Kreutzmann‘s trio. As a founding member of the Grateful Dead, Bill has played drums at every one of the Grateful Dead’s shows. Hutch Hutchinson (Bonnie Raitt) and Scott Murawski (Max Creek) will be joining on guitar and bass.

Gans on Green 960 tonight
I will be cohosting The Angie Coiro Show on Green 960 (960 am) in San Francisco this evening, 6-8pm Pacific Time. Green 960 streams online, and there’s also a live blog while we’re on the air.
We’re still working out the topics, but I am pretty sure the first hour will be all about food: eating healthy and eating local and all that.
