A note about the 9/2/85 show that is currently airing on the GD Hour: Many of the recordings from that era are plagued with “bass farts” – little pops that happened when Phil hit a volume peak. I used NoNoise™’s manual declicking scheme to remove a few hundred of them from the recording – and passed the restored audio files back to Charlie Miller for distribution.

This is the first of several programs featuring the complete soundboard recording of 9/2/85. Recordings from this period tend to include lots of little “bass farts,” caused by very brief overloading of the signal path from Phil Lesh’s rig to the PA system. I applied the world-class restoration tools of Sonic Studio’s NoNoise™ system to remove them without harming the rest of the music.

Saint of Circumstance is a new CD/digital release of 6/17/91, mixed from 48-track masters. The show is also included in the boxed set Giants Stadium 1987, 1989, 1991 – five complete shows. It’s available as a boxed set or as a digital download.

Ready or Not is a single-disc compilation of live recordings of songs introduced in the last few years of the Grateful Dead, which never made it onto a studio album: “Liberty,” “Eternity,” “Lazy River Road,” “Samba In The Rain,” “So Many Roads,” “Way To Go Home,” “Corrina,” “Easy Answers,” and “Days Between.”
