AND ALL THE KIND DONORS!!!
Hey David, just wanted to check in. Listening to the show. Fun so far!
Hey David, what’s the best show played by Reconstruction? Have a great Marathon! Keep up the great work. Been listening to this for many years since 1986.
In years past, I’ve encouraged relatives and friends, who like the Dead but aren’t card-carrying Deadheads, to listen to the marathon. They’ve all subsequently commented that they listened for awhile and didn’t hear much, if any, Grateful Dead.
I haven’t heard any Dead since early this morning. Plenty of nice music, but not really what I’d call a GD marathon.
No offense. Love you. See you later.
The 10/29/73 Other One is OUTSTANDING!
And thanks for the 9/16/89 Jerry Band show, wasn’t anywhere near there, but in Yosemite, celebrating my 42nd birthday, fun to hear a Jerry Band show from that date for the first time.
Hmm, posted this earlier but disappeared.
The 10/29/73 Other One is OUTSTANDING.
And finally i got to hear a Jerry Band show played on my birthday, i.e. the 9/16/89, thanks.
Stream coming though loud and clear here in Bahrain. Thanks for doing this David. The KPFA GD Marathon is like the Super Bowl on the Deadhead calendar! : )
Hi David, loving the tradition of these marathons, and on a rainy day!
Thanks always!
~Dean
Hi –
I saw a real good show in Dec ’78 in Nashville – drove all nite from Austin.
Joani Walker was there w/ few friends hauling in her equipment half concealed under coats. They were front row. I met her – called her later – she sent me a great tape w/ some bonus stuff. Nice lady.
What a party, with the in studio band – you all sounded like you were having fun….
