  1. This Feb 74 Winterland run was some of the highest Grateful Dead ever. The whole thing is a good box set project. All of it used to be on the archive; so I downloaded the 2 track version whilr we could get them…

  3. The Grateful Dead Hour is everywhere now!

AOL goes free in September and that includes most of XM satellite radio. Anybody with an existing internet connection, and a free (AOL AIM or e-mail account) can now listen to Deep Tracks (channel 40) and many more stations for nothing. No need to wait because people can sign up and use XM services now…

  5. Thanks for the heads-up about the free download of Phil & Friends, 7/9/06 at Bethel. I put that entire show on CD and am enjoying Dark Star>High Time again within the context of the complete show. It’s interesting to hear Joan Osborne again in the Dead setting… I wonder if she ever imagined that she’d be singing those songs with members of the Dead one day?

Interesting also that CSNY recently played Bethel on 8/13, just a few days before the anniversary date of their Woodstock debut. Crosby & Nash both had some appropriate quotes that were published in the local reviews of that show.
