My favorite GD era…
Mine, too. Actually got to attend more GD shows than I usually could. Great stuff, great times! Thanks …
Funny thing, I think there was a bunch of old-timers who kept the ’60s percolating right into the mid and even late ’80s … but man it got hard to keep on truckin’ on that highway by the time the ’90s rolled in … but you can still maintain the positive parts of the altitude … oops! I mean attitude. Especially with some help from the music.
Three comments? OK, well … Guess we’re a community of 3 … I apologize for withholding my pledge until Larry Kelp’s show … he’s an old journalism colleague and should be working for the San Francisco Comicle on salary but the mainjstream media have just about completely given up covering acoustic music, except the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival (millionaire financed), because if it don’t involve Big Bucks, it don’t deserve attention … at least that’s my educated guess … thanks for the forum of three … Charlie Miller, David Gans and me!
I saw the 12-27-79 show…the whole run! please keep doing more of this show if you can.
The Rubber Soldiers show was fun….I got a nice lofi recording of most of your set….saw other rigs too…good show. (I mean the one @ The Jerry Garcia Ampitheater)
