HEADED FOR THE HILLS

Jim Lauderdale is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who is well known in both country and bluegrass circles. His songs have been recorded by lots of major artists in both genres. He’s also been collaborating with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter for several years; you’ll find out how that partnership began in this two-part interview (which concludes next week, along with the end of set 1 of 11/14/73).

All of the songs in part 2 of this show were written by Hunter and Lauderdale. Headed for the Hills is a full CD of Hunter-Lauderdale songs, and Jim reveals in the interview that the two are writing together again and he hopes there will be another album to come.
