Just got this email from MunckMix. If you heard the Ratdog spring tour highlights on last night’s Dead to the World, you may be interested in getting some of these shows.
Bob Weir and RatDog completed their 2007 Spring Tour a little over two weeks ago, and recordings from all shows are available at ratdoglive.com .
This was the first time the band was able to release recordings from their 3 shows at the Beacon Theatre in New York City with guest appearances by Donna Godchaux-MacKay among others. Also of note on this tour was the March 13, Boston, MA  show where Kenny Brooks’ former sax instructor George Garzone joined Kenny on stage during Jam and traded some cool licks. And 2 days later, at the March 17, Jim Thorpe, PA show the band pulled out an unusually wild set list in the first set: Jack Straw (16:35)  – Memphis Blues (3:38) > Supplication Jam (1:41) > Memphis Blues (2:37) > Supplication Jam (4:02) > Memphis Blues (3:04) > Bird Song (9:53) > Odessa (7:30) – Shade of Grey (9:43) – Tennessee Jed (10:13) !
As always, the shows are available on both CDs and downloads. To help you in your selection, each listed show on the home page has a Preview function where you can listen to 30 second clips from every track. Incidentally, the band’s MP3 downloads are encoded at 256 Kbps bit rate, a much higher quality than the 128 Kbps files typical of most music downloads. .
We look forward to bringing you more recordings from the upcoming Summer shows, in the meantime – enjoy the music!
