As always, massive thanks to Tony Ferro for engineering the broadcast. He does it for the love of the music, folks, and he does it brilliantly.

  1. I will have to try and stream this – I was there, (12-26-81) and it was an awesome show.
You don’t call it Mickey gets his teeth cut”?
Thats what we were all calling it then…I was never the only one to recognize the little jam in 11/4…some tapers called it “The Eleven Jam”… I hope there is first set board – I really love all the long quiet jamming in Bird Song as well as an undying quality to the ending and noodles before songs start – issues with quick cuts exist on the Aud. I’ve been hoarding. someon is always trying to hack a show up and make it fit on two C-90’s, you know? In this instance – 12-26-81, some songs don’t ever quit end. After petering out the band will modulate to an “E” and noodle till the next one…I’d love to hear it all, all over again.
    Mike.
Went to Speedway Meadows for Radog – Great set. I only wanted more!
Plus, Bob Weir stood on stage at The Orpeum again, doing Jack Straw on Conan…
