Kudos to David Lemieux for this terrific “This week in GD musical history” feature, which he posts every Monday. All the previous ones are available, too, so if you haven’t visited the page in a while you can catch up on a wealth of fine music.

P.S. Regarding the 5/7/72 Dark Star, here is a web page about the Bickershaw Festival, posted by Mike Plumbley.

  1. I recognize a lot of these shows as ones that you have featured on DTTW and GDH such as 5/7/72 Bickershaw, 5/12/74 Reno, and 5/11/77 St. Paul. It’s kinda nice being able to relive those moments in digital format now, after enjoying them off your broadcasts for so many years.

The Tapers Section has made a nice complement to DTTW, especially the rehearsal rarities and just plain good music from different eras in the Dead’s history.
