A nicely worded bummer.
XRT seems to have dropped something – probably the ball.
Too bad for the future generations of XRT staff and listeners that Mr. Winer cut the show. It might be a trend. Writing on wall, maybe. Interesting. I guess they need to see what being off the bus is like for awhile – Oh well A Touch Of Grey kinda suits you anyway. We Will Survive.
I love xrt but am extremely disappointed that they dropped the grateful dead hour. Or as I like to call it “church”. Every sunday some friends and i would gather in my living room and listen in on the show. So now I live in one of the biggest cities in the country and have no dead hour anymore. SUCKS
Norm is falling all over himself to play both sides of this. That is sad. This once great station is just like all the rest of the “classic rock” dinosaurs now. Too many LOUD “JOIN THE ARMY!” commercials, playing the same oldies over and over and over… and they just BURIED the GDH at some undogly hour of the day/night/week.
The GDH wil be better off on another Chicago outlet.
