“Fire It Up, Ready To Go” should now be our motto if we want to make something of the opportunity that the Obama presidency affords all of us in the United States, and around the world, who want some real substantive change to the status quo. Call it what you will, we need a government that is responsive to The People. Else, we might as well re-write the bill of Rights to “We the Corporations…” We The People have an opportunity here. Conservatives really think this is the end of the world, as they know it. To some degree it is, and should be. We can not afford to maintain the status quo, not if we are to take care of people rather than the corporate elite.
So, I propose this as our motto, our creed, our call to action, “Fire It Up, Ready To Go!”
Let’s get to work! We can make a difference. Now is our chance, let’s make the best of it. To borrow another famous phrase, “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.”
