This book sounds great! (I bet it looks pretty good, too.)
I want a copy!
Hey guys. Is this where I post my desire for the fine photo book. Too many shows to name my favorite, so I’ll name my 1st; Palo Alto Acid Test. My memory is the band ready to play and no PigPen. there is a little chant, where’s my PigPen…
Oops. Did I run to my computer too soon to hear that I had to also name my favorite show in order to win a book? Well, as Dan said, too many, but I guess I’ll say my first, as well. Felt Forum, Dec. 7, 1971.
Such a pleasure to share the memories these photos refresh. I would be thrilled to see pics, or hear the music from the show I saw at Day On The Green #9 Day 1 (i think), the first of two shows featuring the Grateful Dead followed by The Who at The Oakland Coliseum (Saturday, 10/9/1976) That’s in Oakland CA of course. I’ve looked at many photos of musicians playing and I get the point about capturing the action. Thanks!
Put me down for the closing of Winterland. 12/31/78.
And THAT (W’land) was my first West Coast show!
