Peter Conners is the author of Growing Up Dead: The Hallucinated Confessions of a Teenage Deadhead. This interview is an edited version of our June 3 conversation on KPFA’s Dead to the World, which you can hear in its entirety here. I enjoyed Growing Up Dead, too. Well worth reading, for those who followed the Grateful Dead and for those who wondered why so many other did so.
