In this clip from the Jim McPherson web page, Mickey Hart talks about his good friend, who died in 1985 at the age of 40. They played together in the early ’80s in a band called High Noon, with Merl Saunders, Bobby Vega, Norton Buffalo, Vicki Randle, and Michael Hinton. In this week’s program, McPherson’s widow, Evy McPherson, plays some tracks from the album she worked 24 years to get released, and also brings along some unreleased music from High Noon.
