Recording “Life Is a Jam”

I spent Sunday 12/13 in Jeremy Goody‘s recording studio with four excellent musicians: Mark Karan (Jemimah Puddleduck, Bob Weir and Ratdog), guitar; Mookie Siegel (David Nelson Band), keyboards; Joe Kyle, Jr. (The Waybacks), bass; and Dave Brogan (ALO), drums. We spent a delightful afternoon getting several takes of my new song “Life Is a Jam,” with a very different jam at the end of each take.

I’m planning to release this as a digital single. Not much point in waiting (nor sufficient cash) to do another full-length studio CD at this time, so I did this because I had a few bucks and it’s a step forward in the direction of more steps forward. Plus I had a blast with these GREAT players! So much fun, in fact, that I didn’t take a single photo.

  1. Hey David,
You played LIFE IS A JAM for us New Year’s Eve in Flagstaff and I fell in love with the song. Outstanding lyrics. It doesn’t look like you published the lyrics yet. At least it doesn’t google.. LOL . . .
So, I just wanted you to know how much I liked it. Please let me know when you release the digital single.
Also would love to get a copy of those lyrics.

    Aloha,
    Doug
