From the Dead.Net page: “Crimson, White & Indigo, one DVD and three CDs of pure bliss captured July 7, 1989 at Philadelphia’s John F. Kennedy Stadium, features the crisp multiple-camera video and superb 24-track audio presented by predecessors Downhill From Here and Truckin’ Up To Buffalo.”

Jim Tuedio is co-editor (with Stan Spector) of an excellent new book, The Grateful Dead in Concert: Essays on Live Improvisation. I am one of the contributors, by the way: my song lyric “Who Killed Uncle John?” is included along with an introductory essay titled “All His Children Grew and Grew.”

Support for the Grateful Dead Hour comes this week from the 6th annual Wanee Music Festival, April 16 & 17 at the Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Featuring two nights of the Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic, as well as sets from Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman & Jay Lane, Gov’t Mule, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band, Stephen Stills, Dr. John, Hot Tuna, plus Bill Kreutzmann’s new project and over a dozen more. Tickets are available now at livenation.com or waneefestival.com.
