Tom Fogerty was the older brother of John Fogerty and the rhythm guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival. He played with the Jerry Garcia-Merl Saunders band occasionally in the early ’70s, and he used Jerry, Merl, John Kahn, and Bill Vitt as his backup band on his 1972 release Excalibur. Fogerty’s first solo album and Excalibur were released as a twofer in Europe in 1998; Thanks to Kurt Huget for the loan of his copy.
