Bocanova – AUCTION IS CLOSED

THIS AUCTION IS CLOSED!

One of our favorite Oakland restaurants, Bocanova, has donated a $100 gift certificate for our auction.

Bocanova, located in Jack London Square at 55 Webster Street, Oakland, offers “Pan-American cuisine … the blending of culinary currents from Europe and the Americas while using the best and freshest local ingredients,” according to Executive Chef Rick Hackett. My wife and I have dined there many times since it opened on September 1, 2009, and everyone we have sent there has given us very enthusiastic reports of their meals.

Here’s an article from the New York Times that mentions Bocanova (along with two other Oakland favorites, Camino and Boot and Shoe Service). And here’s a review from the East Bay Express.

The gift certificate is worth $100, and I would like to start the bidding at $100, please. Post your bids in the comments section below, and don’t forget to check back often to make sure you remain the top bidder! Bidding will end at noon PST on Friday, February 18.

Proceeds from this auction will go to KPFA listener-sponsored radio as part of our annual 16-hour Grateful Dead fund-raising marathon. Details on the marathon – including the online channels through which it will be webcast – can be found here.
