I played the Let It Rock material in celebration of a new biography titled “And on piano… Nicky Hopkins,” by Julian Dawson. I will interview the author soon. Hopkins was in the first incarnation of the Jerry Garcia Band. His health was fragile and he didn’t last long, but when Hopkins was happening, he was a GREAT match for Jerry. Let It Rock documents the best of that brief collaboration.
