Great to hear the sweet tenor of bassist Oteil Burbridge a little more on this tour. He’s taking the Jerry ballads to wonderful new places! “If I Had the World to Give” appeared on the Dead’s 1978 album Shakedown Street but was only performed live a handful of times by the Dead.

Dead & Company live shows are available in a variety of formats from livedead.co

My new studio album is called Drop the Bone. You can read about it, hear some samples, and download it from bandcamp right now! It’s got eight original songs and jams, plus one GD favorite (“Box of Rain”), the Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun,” and the Townes Van Zandt classic “Pancho and Lefty.”

Support for the Grateful Dead Hour comes this week from:

Red Roses, Green Gold – A New Show from MWM Live by Michael Norman Mann, featuring the songs of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. Playing in New York City’s Greenwich Village at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com or RedRosesGreenGold.com.

The Capitol Theatre and Garcia’s in Port Chester, New York. Big Head Todd and the Monsters bring their legendary blues-rock at The Cap on Saturday, January 27. Events, information, and ticketing at thecapitoltheatre.com
