I continue to be blown away by Garcia Songbook! I’ve been on tour with The Grass Is Dead for the last week and a half, and we have listened to Joe’s record at least once a day – and I like it more with every hearing. I’ll play more of it in the weeks to come, but I hope you’ll consider buying a copy. We need to encourage this sort of creativity!

Support for the Grateful Dead Hour comes this week from:

Dead and Company – Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge – on tour from May 30 through July 14. Complete details and ticketing at deadandcompany.com. That’s Dead and Company, on tour in June and July.

The Capitol Theatre and Garcia’s in Port Chester, New York. The Capitol Theatre Presents Acoustic Explorations of the Grateful Dead on Friday, June 1 with Tom Hamilton of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead & Holly Bowling, also of Ghost Light. This will be a very special show for Deadheads! Every Wednesday is Dead Center at Garcia’s, featuring Grateful Dead tribute bands. Events, information, and ticketing at thecapitoltheatre.com.
