From Gary Lambert: “Due to the ever-growing popularity of Dead & Company, the band and Rhino Records have teamed up to make high-quality audio recordings of entire tours available on major streaming platforms, as well as for purchase via download. The program began earlier this year with the Fall 2017 tour as well as several shows from early 2018 (the first “Playing In The Sand Event” as well as three shows originally scheduled for the fall in New Orleans and Florida, which had to be rescheduled due to John Mayer’s emergency appendectomy). The shows were released in groups of two per week, with selected tracks offered in video form on Dead & Company’s YouTube page. For more information, go to dead.net, and keep an eye out for more tour recordings to be released later this year.”

Support for the Grateful Dead Hour comes this week from:

The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. The Fab Faux play fan favorites and music from the Beatles solo years at The Cap on Saturday, May 4. On Wednesday, May 15, The Cap welcomes iconic radio and television host Larry King, 2ith stories and behind-the-scenes observations on some of the biggest names in media, politics, and pop culture, interviewed by Peter Shapiro. Every Wednesday is Grateful Dead night at Garcia’s, The Capitol Theatre’s venue-within-a-venue. Events, information, and ticketing at thecapitoltheatre.com.

Also on sale now at The Capitol Theatre is legendary Grateful Dead tribute band Dark Star Orchestra on May 17 and 18! For nearly two decades, Dark Star has been performing sets from the Grateful Dead’s touring history, adapting the music, staging, and equipment to evoke the time period of the show they’re performing.  Tickets are available now at the box office or at thecapitoltheatre.com.

Airshow Mastering, putting the finishing touches on new and classic music, including recent releases by the Grateful Dead, Mandolin Orange, Robben Ford and Bill Evans, Keller Williams, Fragile Thunder, and Victor Krummenacher.
