ESTIMATED PROPHET (3/9/81)
This 12/18/84 rehearsal of “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues” is missing Jerry Garcia’s guitar. I guess they started without him that day! I have another performance of the song from that session, with Jerry on board; I will share it in the near future.
Support for the Grateful Dead Hour comes this week from:
Skull & Roses, exploring unique interpretations of Grateful Dead music at California’s legendary Ventura County Fairgrounds April 19-23, 2023. This will be our fifth festival, welcoming Phil Lesh & Friends for 2 performances along with Dark Star Orchestra, Oteil & Friends & more! Daily themes, a heady Shakedown Street, a new Oasis to cool off and rejuvenate, plus local beer & expanded food vendors to keep fans “dancing in the streets” all week long. Tickets are on sale now at skullandroses.com
