Just got a note from Bruce Warren at WXPN:
Well, after many years of having the GD hour on the air here at XPN, we’re moving forward with some new programming changes, and we will not be running the show any longer. The programming changes take effect next week.
We’re moving some shows off our schedule to focus more on locally produced hours of the XPN Music mix, and “promoting” some locally produced monthly shows, to weekly spots.
We’re announcing the schedule changes tomorrow.
While a one hour GD show is one way of showing our love for the band, this will not stop XPN from continuing to celebrate their long history and influence on popular music, as we continue to play them in “rotation.”
Is there another station in the area that might be interested?
