He did a recording session in San Francisco in the early ’70s with Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann and Keith Godchaux of the Grateful Dead; two songs were released in ’72 on the album Demon in Disguise, and four more came out in 1974 on the album Wanted Dead or Alive. “The Holdup” was written by Bromberg and George Harrison and features the four Dead guys.
