Kids holding signs
I saw some kids at the Greek on my way to the show… you know how everyone’s out there holding signs, “I need a ticket?” Nowadays they don’t even need to hold up a sign – they just have to make believe they’re holding up a sign.

COMES A TIME
Just a reminder that the individual shows from the Europe ’72 tour are now available separately, and of course they’re still available in one big boxed set.
“Jersey Shore” is a new song by the Mickey Hart Band. It’s available as a download in a package with the complete MHB show of 8/17/12 in Asbury Park NJ. This is a “pay what you want” download package, and all the proceeds go to Clean Ocean Action.
The Keller Williams collection Keys is also a charity download: a full album of Grateful Dead songs played and sung by Keller on the piano, with all proceeds going to the Rex Foundation.
Save the Monkey House!
My good friend Ira Marlowe opened a terrific small venue in Berkeley called The Monkey House. He had some noise complaints from the neighbors so he closed down for a while to install soundproofing. We, the performers who love Ira and his venue, have contributed music to an online compilation to help Ira recover his costs so we can all enjoy The Monkey House for years to come.
Please visit Save the Monkey House! and buy some music. There are some terrific songs on the page.
