Good Old Boys Live is a 2-disc set recorded in Santa Cruz, California in February of 1975. Bluegrass legend Frank Wakefield on mandolin, Jerry Garcia on banjo, David Nelson on guitar, Brantley Kearns on fiddle, and Pat Campbell on bass. John Cutler recorded it on Owsley Stanley’s Nagra 2-track deck, and Pat has had the reels all this time. So glad to hear this music! I’ll play more of it in the weeks to come. You can get your copy here.
