Save Us from the Saved – David Gans and the Shockenaw Mountain Boys 3/29/08 Suwannee Springfest, Live Oak FL
I beg your indulgence as I play myself on the radio! The Shockenaw Mountain Boys are four members of Railroad Earth: Tim Carbone, fiddle and vocals; Andy Goessling, saxophone (and a zillion other instruments); John Skehan, mandolin; and Johnny Grubb, bass. We have played together many times, and at this year’s Springfest we had a time slot all our own on the amphitheater stage. Tim produced a studio album that I will be releasing later in the spring, titled The Ones That Look the Weirdest Taste the Best, with all these guys and some other fine musicians contributing.
I Once Loved a Lass – Tammerlin, No Small Thing

See this earlier blog post for news about the reissue of several Mickey Hart records.
Got paid on Tuesday! I put my order ($116.00 delivered) in for this new Winterland 73 boxset last night. Can’t afford to buy everything but these special projects are well worth the expense…
