David Gans and the Shockenaw Mountain Boys 3/29/08 Suwannee Springfest, Live Oak FL

I beg your indulgence as I play myself on the radio! The Shockenaw Mountain Boys are four members of Railroad Earth: Tim Carbone, fiddle and vocals; Andy Goessling, saxophone (and a zillion other instruments); John Skehan, mandolin; and Johnny Grubb, bass. We have played together many times, and at this year’s Springfest we had a time slot all our own on the amphitheater stage. Tim produced a studio album that I will be releasing later in the spring, titled The Ones That Look the Weirdest Taste the Best, with all these guys and some other fine musicians contributing.

  1. Got paid on Tuesday! I put my order ($116.00 delivered) in for this new Winterland 73 boxset last night. Can’t afford to buy everything but these special projects are well worth the expense…
