Sycamore Slough String Band is an acoustic quartet brought together by a mutual love of the music of the Grateful Dead. We don’t pretend to be the acoustic Dead: we tell these stories in our own voices, and we play a lot of songs the Dead never did in their acoustic sets. Nor do we limit ourselves to Grateful Dead material: our debut CD, First Rehearsals, also includes songs by George Harrison, Bob Dylan, and Peter Rowan.
