Hope, popularity, and politics

Now, from across the aisle:

WHAT THE FUCK IS THE MATTER WITH THESE PEOPLE? Is John McCain running for student body president at a junior high school? This is from Talking Points Memo:

John McCain campaign manager Rick Davis: “Barack Obama has more fans across the world than Paris Hilton does.”

How is it a bad thing that Obama is popular?

The Republicans are trying their best to make a vice of the public’s affection for Barack Obama. After eight years of propping up President Codpiece, they now have this pathetic hypocrite John McCain carrying their banner. He has little but outright lies and character assassination to work with, and of course an appeal to the stupidest and most easily frightened sectors of the American public.

Please, please, PLEASE register to vote, pay attention to what’s going on in the country and the world, keep your shit detectors calibrated at all times, and VOTE. It is not hyperbole to state that the fate of the world depends on it.

  1. I don’t think that 75,000 people are gonna show up even to see Paris Hilton in a Portland Oregon city park. The crowd in Berlin was the size of a huge rock festival. So, yes Obama does have a bigger fan club than this spoiled rich slutty hotel heiress, who is famous; because most of us have seen her being fucked on the internet. That’s one of the worst sex movies that I’ve ever seen…
